How to Join a Challenge


Overview

Challenges are friendly competitions that help you stay active, lose weight or build healthy habits. You can participate on your own or in teams, depending on how the challenge was set up. Every challenge has a start and end date, and some are optional while others may enroll everyone automatically.

What to doWhere you’ll see it
1Locate the Challenges widget on your homepage or find the Challenge within your Wellness Points.The Challenges Widget shows all current, upcoming and (if allowed) completed challenges.
2Find the challenge you want and click Join Challenge. If a password is required, enter it.Password-protected challenges display a lock icon.
3For Team challenges:
• Pick an existing team or create a new one (if allowed).
• Some sites limit team size—watch for a message if the team is full.
Team size and team-creation rules are set per-challenge by your organizer.  
4Read the short description and instructions for more details on how to participate. Found in the Challenge Tooltip and on the main page of the challenge you've joined.
5Need to leave? Scroll down to the footer of the challenge and choose Leave Challenge (only available until the organizer locks enrollment).




Troubleshooting

“Why don’t I see the Join button?”The organizer may have enrolled everyone automatically, set a Join Cut-Off Date, or filled the participant limit.  
“I joined late—will earlier activity count?”The organizer may choose if earlier activity counts towards the challenge.  Typically, back-dated entries before you joined will not count.
“I’m asked for a password—where do I get it?”The challenge creator shares passwords (often by e-mail or site notice).
“The team I want is missing.”Teams appear only when the captain has created them and (for multi-location sites) if they match your locale. Ask the captain or organizer.  Depending on the settings for the challenge, the organizer may allow participants to create their own Teams.
