How to Join a Challenge

Overview

Step challenges reward you for daily movement. Any steps you log—through a connected device, manual entry or converted activity minutes—advance you along the virtual map. Maps are “scaled” so typically participants can finish in the allotted time.

Popular Step Challenges:  Route 66, Get Fit Mystery Challenge, Rock Your Way to Wellness, Hollywood Walk of Fame, Around the World, Lost City Trek, Cross Canada

Instructions

StepWhat to doNotes
1Sync or enter steps
  • Device/app sync (e.g., Fitbit, Apple Health). Data posts automatically.
  • Manual entry:
    • Open the tracker on the challenge page → enter steps for each day.
    • OR go to the Track page → enter steps for each day.
All activity is measured in steps.  If an activity such as biking is entered on the Track page or recorded on a device, the system will convert that activity into step equivalents.
2Watch the map
  • A pin shows your current position. Teams see their shared pin.

3Check milestones – pop-ups or e-mails celebrate key distances. Notifications must be enabled to receive these messages.
4Leaderboard – ranks by total or average steps, depending on rules.
5Late logging – You can back-enter steps up to the organiser’s Progress Cut-Off Date
